As an avid and prolific knitter, I believe that many of the older needle-arts are under-represented in both real life and in the costuming arena. One of my goals is to change that.
Make that prolific and fast; I once knitted almost an entire sweater on a the way to Pittsburgh. As a souvenir of this trip (and project), one of my knitting needles is permanently lost inside the wall of a Toyota van which had an inconveniently placed opening in the armrest. I understand that having the van under-coated finally stopped the rattling.
