I started costuming in the SCA*, and still prefer historical over other forms of costuming.  I've always enjoyed researching the techniques, styles, and materials.  Of course all of that can be applied to Fantasy & Original costumes, too; but I think I'll always prefer doing Historicals.

And getting on stage wasn't my idea!  I blame my friends!
