Costume Con Charity Benefit

Plans have been finalized for our convention charity recipient, The Cat Network, Inc., a feline foster home organization.  Here's some different ways you could help.

Do you have a bunch of COTTON fabric scraps laying in the back of your fabric dungeon taking up space, and can't seem to find anything to do with it?  Consider donating it.  Those scraps, provided they're at least 18" square or more, can be turned into cat beds.  The need for COTTON ONLY is because the beds must be washable.

Feeling more ambitious?  How about making a cat bed yourself?  Here's a rough sketch of the typical bed made by the  Cat Network volunteers/

Feel like something more elaborate?  Go for it!  Then, bring it along and donate it to the shelter.  Remember the fabric content requirement.

What about that costume piece that you no longer wear, either because you're tired of it, or you can't fit into it anymore?  Consider bringing it CC16. The cat Network, Inc., has an annual charity auction.  They've sold such donated items as trips, food, jewelry, and artwork.  Artwork, did we say?  Costume pieces are works of art!  A hat, a dress, a man's coat; anything that you think might appeal to someone's sense of flair.  Together with the fancy cat beds above, we bet a lot of money could be raised.

Representatives of The Cat network, Inc., will be manning a table on Saturday, April 4, selling all sorts of toys, treats, etc.  You can turn your items in to them, personally, if you like, but we sill take your donations all weekend.  And that includes cold, hard cash.  We may have one or two other surprises to benefit TCN, which we're still working on.  So pick up something for your fabric-center-finder(s) while you're in St. Louis.  Who knows -- maybe they'll have a "My human went to Costume-Con 16 in St. Louis, but all I got was this lousy cat toy" catnip rat.
