CostumeCon 25 Safety Policy

1. Follow general common sense safety rules and procedures. We are not here to micromanage your experience but wish to keep everyone safe and healthy during their stay here.

2. No pyrotechnics allowed anywhere in the hotel or surrounding grounds. Open flames will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

3. Follow the Weapons Policy guidance for the safety of yourself as well as others.

4. In case of medical emergency contact the front desk immediately, dial 911 as appropriate and have someone notify Con Security so we may assist you.

5. Be aware of the limitations of your costumes and those of others. Some special issues include vision obstructions, unfamiliarity in walking on heels or stilts, over average width/length of garments, pointy bits and constricting/suffocating masks, corsets and the like. Take precautions if you are in a costume that presents a risk to yourself or others, and make allowances for other costumers who may need a little extra space or assistance. Using the buddy system or handlers is a good practice.

6. Hydrate, eat properly, take medication as directed and don't overindulge in alcohol. If you have special medical needs you wish us to know about please see the Security Staff or Con HQ for a Medical Information Form.
